SALT basement finished my 1500 sqft basement over a summer and did an amazing job. They installed a custom sauna, gym, living room, bathroom, bedroom, and large walk in closet. The project wasn't trivial, and involved a lot of moving pieces. I really enjoyed working with Korey and the team, and they had great input and advise on how to finish the basement. Thank you team!
Although I ultimately chose a different contractor for my basement remodeling project, I was highly impressed with Korey's workmanship. He exhibited a high level of professionalism throughout our discussions, communicating clearly and responding promptly during the estimation process.
SALT finished our walk-out basement. It was a good-sized project, about 850sq ft or so. We wanted to make a separate one-bedroom apartment that included a kitchenette with everything, a laundry closet, a bedroom, and a full bathroom. We also had them finish another room in the back area for a small gym room. The project took a little over four months. Korey was easy to get a hold of and would answer any questions we had, and all the sub-contractors were quick, friendly, and efficient. Every construction group that came through always cleaned up after themselves. Brian, the cabinet maker, somehow made the kitchen work well and look great! Though the project took longer than I would have liked, the end product is impressive. We are happy with the results!
We just finished our basement with SALT, and everyone that came out were very professional, personable, and did an excellent job! We are loving the new space that it has brought to our home.
They were quick to get things done, worked with our budget, and did an excellent job!!!
The only improvement we would request is communication. We usually had to be the ones reaching out to figure what was next and what to expect. Other then that they were all fantastic!!
Salt Build did a fantastic job communicating and executing while we finished our basement. Korey and Kevin were great to work with and always quick to respond to any questions that we had. We are stoked about how our basement turned out!
SALT did a great job with our basement and were really helpful throughout the entire process. We really didn’t know what we were doing, but Korey and Kevin were always ready to listen, provide advice, and adjust to any changes we through at them. I can’t say enough about the sub-contractors they used either. Every single one of them was friendly, responsive and helpful. It was a great experience for us and the basement looks amazing.
We used SALT to finish our basement in the summer of 2020. I was nervous to hire a contractor because I've heard tons of horror stories, but we could not have asked for a better experience. Korey, Kevin and their teams were very easy to work with -- they were thorough, patient, attentive and responded quickly. Our project was finished two weeks early and right on budget. Through every stage of the project we were extremely impressed with the subs he had to do framing, plumbing, drywall, paint, flooring, finish work, etc. My 11-year-old daughter made a point to meet everyone who worked on the basement They were all very friendly did a really nice job.
I had my basement finished last month by Salt Construction and just love it. Korey was able to utilize the small space perfectly to fit a laundry closet, bathroom, bedroom, and office. The quality and sub contractors was great.
We had a wonderful experience with SALT. They just recently finished our basement and did an outstanding job. We worked closely with Korey and Kevin throughout the project and both were very professional, highly attentive and very knowledgable about what they do. Not only was everything done with great quality and care but they even finished the project ahead of schedule! I would recommend SALT to anyone who is looking to finish their basement. We had a great experience with SALT build. The people they contract out to do work are top notch, polite, and do a great job! You hear a lot of horror stories about dealing with contractors but Korey and Kevin did fantastic work throughout the whole process. I would recommend using SALT build! We are extremely thrilled with our basement and how it turned out!
These guys were great! From the very beginning (their bidding process) they were well ahead of all the other contractors I had look at my basement. They gave me several visual models/designs of what my finished basement could look. like and their pricing/payment plans were very reasonable. They were super responsive -- phone calls, texts, emails, etc - I never had to wait for them to respond. I would use these guys all over again.
I had an amazing experience with Salt. I wanted to finish off my sons basement after my husband passed and my previous neighbor referred me to Korey. I had somewhat of a vision of what I wanted but, Korey made suggestions that were so much more than I could imagine. It just got finished today and I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. I love how it all came together. I love how Brian custom makes the cabinets. They turned out stunning. All the subs did an amazing job. There is not one thing that I'm not pleased with. SALT helped us renovate our entire home from September 2019 - February 2020. The process was in a word, pleasant. Korey, Kevin and Bryan (SALT’s cabinet maker) were delightful to work with and have true integrity. They get the job done without being pushy, bossy or forceful. They would give us their helpful opinions and were always willing to make adjustments as needed. They took every opportunity to save us money where they could which was so appreciated. I can’t recommend SALT enough!
I decided to go with SALT because of several recommendations. I am glad I did, Korey has such a keen eye and was very easy to work with. Very professional and they really do have some of the best subs out there! From start to finish they laid out the framework and it turned out amazing! Thanks SALT!!!
We had been slowing fixing up our home that was built in the 60s and decided to give SALT a call to see about remodeling our home. They gave a fair price, and I really appreciated their attention to detail and wanting to have a great finished product. Our home is so much more functional now than it was before. I would recommend SALT to anyone looking to do a remodel or finish a basement
We had never finished a basement or hired any sort of contractor in our lives so we didn't really know what to expect. It was probably overkill, but we interviewed 7 different contractors before we decided to hire SALT. Korey was one of two people who actually measured the basement and the only person who gave us a drawing with the quote. That combined with answering all our questions in the initial visit, being socially aware, and a reasonable quote helped us decide to go with them.
We started talking with them at the beginning of December, 2019. We agreed on a contract and they started January 3, 2020. I think the last sub contractor was in our house March 9. My point here is that they work very quickly and efficiently.
If we had a second basement that needed to be finished, we would hire these guys in a heartbeat.
Salt did a beautiful job on our basement for one of our properties. And Korey is easy to get ahold of and responds quickly. He also had many great ideas that turned out perfect.
I had a great experience with Korey and SALT. He was quick to respond and return a quote. He also provided me of proof license and insurance (other contractors were not willing to do this). As our project progressed, SALT was quick to respond to any of our concerns and address changes that we made. I will be using them for future remodels.
These guys are amazing. They not only listened to my wants, but they brought other ideas to the table as well. Great people, clean, respectful, and easy to work with.

We have been wanting to finish our basement for several years now. We contacted SALT and explained to them exactly what we wanted. Korey gave us some wonderful suggestions, and we went with them. The sub-contractors working in our home were friendly, polite, and extremely professional. We are exceptionally pleased, and we plan to contact them for additional remodeling in our home. We highly recommend SALT!
We used Salt to finish our 1500 sq foot basement. Brand new from nothing.. There process from start to finish has been very good. Korey came out right away to get details and then provided an estimate within a few days. They quoted a fair price and completed the basement within the time agreed on. We are very happy with the outcome and love the space they have finished for us!
We had (3) bids for an approx $30k basement finishing job. All bids were very close, but we ultimately decided to go with Korey and his team. They were great to communicate with and honestly we didnt have to discuss very much after the initial agreement because they followed through on timelines and quality of work as originally envisioned. A few months after the bid process we now have a finished basement and we are very happy with the service! I would choose them again if a future project comes up.
We used Korey and team to help finish our basement about a year ago and we couldn't be happier. As simple as it sounds, it was great to work with people that delivered on what they promised. There we no surprises and they kept us informed each step of the process.
Extremely happy and satisfied with SALT! They were the lowest of 3 bids and finished earlier than expected with no surprise charges or fees. We were on a tight schedule to finish our basement and surprise our son before he returned home from his mission, and they totally came through!
We had a few different bids on our basement finish and Salt’s prices were comparable, however the difference was how outgoing and kind they were. We felt like we had made a new friend. Korey, Kevin and Brian were all great to work with. If there were ever any issues or questions they did not hesitate to get them all answered or corrected. Korey and team did such a great job on our basement. They were very good with communication. I have heard of horror stories about basement getting done. Salt had our basement done in the time promised. We are so happy we use Salt to finish our basement.
We just had our basement completed by SALT! - Their price was super competitive to another contractor who had just as good of reviews as SALT's. Their subcontractors are AWESOME. Korey and Kevin are easy to work and communicate with. They have a great system for their subs to come into your basement so you don't always need to be home for the workers to come. The only problem with that -for us - is that we have a dog that could access the basement and the back yard. So we needed to know when they were coming so we could secure her .
Over all we are really pleased with their work and love our basement!
More important to us than cost was finding a contractor that would be respectful of our home, of our vision for the project and of our time and that would finish on time and on budget.There's just too many horror stories out there about projects gone bad, and I'd pay extra for peace of mind. Luckily, with SALT I got all those things and the price was right too. We really loved working with these guys. Korey was very responsive from the moment we first reached out for a bid, all the way through the end of the project. He helped us make tweaks to the design, minor changes throughout, all without giving us a hard time about "cost this" or "timeline that" and all without blowing the budget. They were super organized with their subs, and there were very few times when one didn't start right after the other. The subs were clean, respectful and easy to work with (especially Gusman!). SALT finished on time and on budget and I'd use them again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend them. We love our basement! Thanks guys!

Salt was Amazing a few hiccups with a few subs, but they corrected them, and got the project back on course quickly. Very easy to communicate with. Basement turned out just how I wanted! Very pleased!
We hired SALT to finish our unfinished basement. They were great to work with. They took the time to understand what we wanted, gave suggestions when they thought another solution might work better, but always gave our preferences priority. The couple of times we had problems with the work, they were willing to fix the issues without an argument. We are very pleased with the end result and our new basement.
SALT finished our basement and we are very happy with the product and service they provided. They were very communicative throughout our project. They also minimized our disruption during construction by having the contractors use a separate entrance. Their estimate was itemized and they came in on budget. I highly recommend their team. They did a great job finishing my basement
Very impressed with Korey from the get go. Korey provided us with a concise breakdown of what things cost and where our money was going. It was nice to see it all on paper before we got started. Korey listened to our wants and also had great ideas that we hadn't thought of that helped us plan our basement. We are very pleased with how it turned out, his team did an awesome job. They did our whole basement, which included a very large rec room with wet bar, 3 bedrooms, and bathroom.
We recently had a new home built and hired SALT to finish the basement. These guys should seriously consider getting into the building whole homes business. They arrived when they said they would, did what they said they would and i never had to wait more than an hour for a call or text back and we called a texted them a bunch and all for a very competitive price. When they did the walk through after having put together a bid based on our blue prints they noticed a couple of things that they could so to improve our basement which they did without adding any extra to the bid.
Tl;dr: Great work, great communication, courteous amd great value. Would use again.
Great company! When issues arose there was always a quick reply and got it fixed no problem. The basement finishing process was very quick and affordable. These guys do good work.
